Hoarding Designs

What are the different types of graphics and materials for hoarding designs?

Site and construction hoardings aren’t a common item that are often noticed when you walk down the street. Hoardings aren’t put up for visual aesthetics; they are informational and speak about the product or service of the business. Hoarding designs can be creative as hoarding is a blank canvas with never ending creative design possibilities. The choice of hoardings used on a particular project depends on the type of information that you want to showcase to your audience. What are the different types of hoarding materials? Concrete Concrete hoardings are easy to install and dismantle; many business owners prefer them. They are durable, robust and long-lasting. Construction companies mostly use these hoardings to put up advertisements and promotional content. These hoardings are commonly seen in and around different construction sites. Steel Steel hoardings are notable for their easy installation process and usability. Like timber hoardings, they are reusable and are mainly found at construction and demolition sites. They are weather resistant and can be put up at vast heights as they are sturdy even under strong wind conditions. Timber Wooden or timber hoardings are other hoarding options. Once discarded, these hoardings can be sustainably stored and reused for other purposes. It is also a durable, secure option for promoting the business and its services. Marketing Suites
Marketing Suites

What is a marketing suite, and how does it help property developers?

A marketing suite is a cabin or show home on a new property development that is used to market the development. Marketing suites are an ergonomic working environment that help the company’s sales and marketing team. Marketing suites are generally based on the unique business requirements of the project. Nowadays, most newly built housing developments have a sales and marketing space where company agents can sit with prospective clients and discuss the different types of housing available. This expertly designed space, in simple terms, is known as a marketing suite. Building the perfect marketing suite is essential to timely sales of new build properties. Here are The Major Reasons you Need a Marketing Suite for Your Property Development Site Why do you need a marketing suite? A place that helps to plan with customers Housing developers need to plan the whole sales process with the customers, especially at the initial stage of development. With a marketing suite, the development companies give the customers the professional feel of the space that they will receive once the builders have completed construction work. The marketing suite often comprises a refreshing reception design, interactive displays, car parking spaces and a well-kept garden. Improves brand value to customers The marketing suite is a platform through which the development company will showcase the type of luxury or affordable homes they are planning to build for the customers. Buying a house is a decision that the individual will not make hastily. They will carefully check the structure and other details before deciding. How the development company constructs the marketing suite will help the customer decide on the type of construction knowledge the company has and can use for the developmental works. Highlight your story to an audience Along with the written form of information, the marketing suite also plays an important role in representing the brand’s story. If you’re constructing a marketing suite for your company, make sure you decorate with your brands identity in mind. It can be difficult to sell homes at times, particularly with ever shifting economics. To convince potential customers, you must show them some good architectural evidence as to why they should invest. Help to reduce the anxiety of the customers By opening a marketing suite where you can show 3D projections of the types of builds and developments you’re planning, you can easily build the confidence of the potential customers and ease them to invest in a property on the new development. Gravesend wayfinding signage

Municipal signs pointing to the post office or the park can just be functional or they can add something to the environment. At Reade Signs we always enjoy working with local authorities who want to make public spaces more attractive while providing a public service. Gravesham Borough Council asked Reade Signs for a series of monolith signs, which feature historic images and inform the public about Gravesend’s rich historic connection with the Thames. The council wanted the monoliths to be put in place with as little fuss or disruption as possible in the run-up to Christmas. So, rather than spend weeks fencing off pedestrian areas one at a time to install the concrete foundations and signage, we did all the groundwork first, setting a custom ground cage and frame into concrete foundations at the various locations around the town. We then fitted a temporary cover plate over each one so that pedestrians could safely walk over them. The SolutionOur fitting team installed all the monoliths in one day, simply ‘plugging in’ and bolting them down into the waiting sockets so they seemed to appear overnight to the public. Not only did the plan add to the ‘wow’ factor, it also cut down inconvenience to the public and saved the council money by avoiding the need for expensive route closure licences. We also refurbished the town’s existing 11 tourist wayfinding finger-posts and added seven more with a modern sign system incorporating a beautiful finial on the top of each one in the shape of a Thames barge. The council commissioned the unique sculpture and we then developed several prototypes for a custom mounting point and corresponding base plate for all of the signs, coming up with a design that allowed the two parts to come together seamlessly. Illuminated Building Signage – How Can it Benefit Your Business?

Illuminated building signage is commonly visible everywhere, from city streets to rural areas. Until a few years back, neon signs were a more popular option compared to illuminated building signs. However, the advent of the concepts of LED and LCD lighting has created a new way of advertising illuminated building signage. Unlike neon sign boards, if you advertise your company or products through illuminated building signage, you can expect better exposure and customer visibility. They are effective in drawing attention to your business, and tend to be clearly visible and legible from a greater distance. However, in terms of price, neon sign boards may be more affordable. Many business owners face a dilemma in whether to choose between neon signage, or illuminated building signage. If you are among them, the following blog may shed some light on the situation (pun intended). Benefits of using illuminated building signage as a form of advertisement High Visibility With the help of LED and LCD lights, the illuminated building signage can ensure quick visibility from a distance. This is a creative way of announcing the presence of a business, especially if you are considering high-quality outdoor light options. Like neon lights, using this signage option will also help you advertise your business during night time. The downside of neon lighting is that it is not particularly visible from a distance and simply looks like a colourful blur. Helps with Brand Recognition Illuminated signage helps increase brand recognition by day and night. Since the signs are attractive, people will start noticing your brand easily and identify the business without you provoking them expressly to do so. Hence if you are planning to attract customers to your store, illuminated signage is the best option. Accessible Maintenance Illuminated building signs are built with LED lights in the background; hence, they last a long time. Unlike neon lights, LED and LCD lights are equipped with weather-resistant materials, though it may require regular maintenance subject to how and where it is installed. Generally it is little more than replacing bulbs or batteries, however illuminated lights on roofs may require bird proofing. For creative and high-quality building signage, approach Reade Signs. Our experienced designers will design the best and most informative building signage for you.

Museum Wayfinding
Case Studies

Victoria & Albert Museum, London

The award-winning V&A Wayfinding assignment was one of the most rewarding projects we have completed in recent years.  There were so many factors to be considered, not least the need to cause minimal disruption so that visitors and private events (which are the museums life blood) could continue. Most of the works were therefore carried out overnight and over several weeks. We worked closely with the museum’s estates team to ensure we could get the signs from one location to another and with limited storage space available on-site, staged deliveries were needed. Fixing into the walls and ceilings of one of London’s most iconic listed buildings is not for the faint hearted either, with extensive testing and sampling taking place before installation. There are over 400 signs in all, ranging from totem signs clad in black tulip wood, to projecting, wall mounted facilities signs, maps and hanging gallery signs. Each sign was fabricated by hand, with direct to media print being applied for the graphic elements, giving a durable, unbelievably sharp finish. The signage and wayfinding scheme won the coveted SEDG (Society for Experiential Graphic Design) ‘HONORS AWARD’ in 2020. Furthermore, the V&A undertakes continual visitor surveys and the results speak for themselves: 74 percent of visitors said that they found navigating easy or very easy, compared to 58 percent in the same period the prior year. The proportion of visitors answering “difficult” or “other” fell from 18 percent to just 3 percent.(Source V&A)

Sugar House Island

We were tasked with manufacturing and installing the 1.5 mtr high letters and logo on the top of No. 1 Sugar House Lane, the gateway to the new Sugar House Island development by international developer Vastint. Before the final letters could be manufactured we produced a full size sample and secured it in position on the roof so that the stake holders could view it from all angles and approve for production. Finally, the huge letters, with Cabochon lighting were fixed directly into the building’s steel work and cleverly designed by our team to hinge backwards to allow maintenance from the roof.  Dominating the skyline from the High Street, Stratford, they create a lasting landmark within the local area. The Logo and Visual Identity were designed by Kurz Gestaltung, Berlin.
